Through the breadth of our research expertise Plymouth is addressing some of the most urgent global challenges facing the health of our seas, as we work to establish a sustainable blue economy.

UNESCO has revealed that 75% of marine World Heritage sites lack the critical science to deal with the impact of climate change. We are responding to their call to the international community to step up and co-design and co-deliver ‘the science we need for the ocean we want’.
